Rainer Krause was a pharmacist with
a passion for design, who spent his vacations at furniture fairs
and filled his pharmacy with contemporary design pieces.
When a customer suggested he was missing his true vocation, he
promptly shut up shop and opened showrooms in a German castle
to display editions of lighting, furniture, art and jewellery
(a quartet of design genres) in 1987.
Designers like Antonio Citterio (who designed the Cerruti store
in New York) make pieces exclusively for him and the spectacular
lighting collection has grown to include ranges by Hans Heisz,
Heiko Bleuel and Carbone and Vudafieri.
