Janne Kyttänen established Freedom of Creation in 2000 on leaving design school in Amsterdam, where his graduation thesis had proved that Rapid Prototyping could be used as a manufacturing tool.

His passion for science and technology is matched by a vibrant sense of the patterns in nature. FOC designed briefly for Materialise, where their Lotus and Lilly lamps were outstanding.

Now regrouped with strong management around him, Kyttänen is flying into further research and the manufacture of his new designs. The Palm pendant, ‘1597’ and Dahlia wall lights are superb and FOC are winning important design awards.
