The range of materials has expanded to include satin-finished glass, polyethylene, wood, aluminium and patented materials like textured glass tissue and Kevlar R. Modern icons are being created by the minute by designers like Karim Rashid, Mark Sadler, Defne Koz, Patricia Urquiola, Tom Dixon and many more.
