Alfio Petrinic and the architect Alfredo Paolini set up Petris 5 in 1999, making lamps, convex mirrors and carriage clocks in a traditional Italian style with a contemporary cadence.

Everything is beautifully made by hand in a wide variety of finishes - whether it's ironwork or carved and gilded wood - and their products have a wide following in the US, Russia, India and the Middle East.
