WILKINSON
Frank Wilkinson
set up shop in Stourbridge, home of the English cut glass industry,
in 1920. His brother Reginald joined him in 1922 and together
they revolutionised the industry--inventing a new method of
polishing cut crystal glassware.
Now based
in East London, the company received the Queen's royal warrant
in 1980 and is now run by David Wilkinson.
Lamps of
every type, from Georgian or Swedish Chandeliers to Indian Lanterns,
are still cut and polished by hand.
