SMP Lights by Sergio Mendoza

Sergio Mendoza writes: "We get fruit and vegetables are delivered every day in wooden crates. As they cannot be reused, we burn them every night. The intention was to find a construction process, using this to create different objects: lights, furniture, etc...

The lamps can be made with very basic materials and technique in less than one hour. Since the materials are quite alien to those traditionally used for this kind of lamps, archetypal shapes were maintained, resulting in a series of warm, sympathetic looking lights." See more at Designspotter.
