Etch Web by Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon Etch Web.01Gosh, that Tom Dixon is on a roll! Not just one, but two fabulous lights introduced for Milan. You'll be able to see them during the Fair at MOST, an installation at the Museum of Science and Technology. The first is Etch Web. Not only are we knocked out by it, but no light has been repinned more often, or more swiftly, from our Pinterest boards.

Geometrically, it is an irregular pentagon repeated sixty times in order to create sphere.

And, as if that was not exciting enough, it is made from copper anodized aluminium! Copper is a magnificent metal, warm and surprising but, amongst leading lighting makers, only Tom Dixon seems to realize this.
